While it is not yet complete, Mariscotti has agreed to give us a sneak peek of his latest work, which, he tells us, embodies a new materialization of the language he has perfected with his art. While he is not giving away the specifics, here are three new elements that characterize this work:

First, this work involves the use of materials other than oil. Oil has always been Mariscotti's favorite material, but in this work he's decided to explore new materials and the way they interact with the canvas.

Second, the type of colors chosen makes light play a major role in the work's appreciation. In fact, the work was conceived with the idea that it would generate different and quite unique visual effects depending on the type of light it was exposed to.

Third and last, this work will present a 'unconventional' background in an effort to break with pre-established conventions. This background promises to capture our attention.
